Scribe / People and operations

The person behind the wheel is part of the operating system.

A shipment plan becomes real through people: the driver arriving at the gate, the loading team preparing the goods and the recipient completing the handover. Our programme thinking begins there.

01

Make expectations understandable

A driver should not have to infer which contact to call, which record to collect or what to do when the site is not ready. Clear instructions and useful handover information are practical places to start.

02

Build learning around real tasks

Onboarding can connect documentation, communication and safe working practices to situations participants recognise. Practical, recognisable tasks are a guiding principle as we develop the proposed pilot programme.

03

Be honest about the next step

The programme is in development. Listening to drivers and potential partners can help define the curriculum, assessments and possible support. Accreditation, certification outcomes and employment are not guaranteed.

Express your interest and describe the learning or onboarding challenges you encounter. The team can consider this input as the programme is developed.
